Un-American, if you ask me for my opinion

Thanks to Rep. George Miller, we find out what constitutes Spellings' true modus operandi: spin, spin, and if that doesn't work, shut down access to any information so heinous, it can't be spun.

After we find out Armstrong Williams was a government shill to spread rumors about NCLB, Rep. Miller called for an investigation of federal funds.

The results must be pretty bad considering this is the reaction:
The Bush administration is impeding an investigation into the Education Department's hiring of commentator Armstrong Williams by refusing to allow key White House officials to be interviewed, a Democratic lawmaker briefed on the review said Thursday.

In addition, Rep. George Miller, D-Calif., said Education Secretary Margaret Spellings is considering invoking a privilege that he said would require information to be deleted when the final version is publicly released, which is expected within days.
Does the Department of Education harbor national secrets? Wow, who would've thought Armstrong was such an important connection in the whole war against terra.

The actions, if not the content, are worth amplifying a thousand fold. But will the Press Corpse disappoint me again?
