Funding liberal thinktanks

WaPo reports to us about new group called the Democracy Alliance set up to fund 'liberal' thinktanks. This reminds me I don't know what WaPo means by 'liberal' especially when the major DLC think tank has coopted the term progressive.

I'm hoping the bulk of the money will go towards funding real progressive groups, as opposed to faux ones such as this one or this new education one, founded by a DLC guy and a Brookings Institute guy.

I'm looking for more info on the Democracy Alliance. Funny, I can't seem to find a website.
