Uniting against the Governor's policies

I'm beginning to think there is hope when we're seeing protests in Orange County(registration req'd).
More than 1,000 people rallied Tuesday afternoon in simultaneous demonstrations across the county, packing street corners and football fields to support Proposition 98 - and show a rare occasion of consensus for all of public education's players.
Orange County is notoriously Republican but when the Governor's policy affects your kids directly, the party affiliation seems to go out the window.

I hope this united front continues to put the pressure on the Governor but most importantly, I'd like to see them push people to contact their state legislators. It goes kinda like this when you talk to your elected officials: you've got no money for public ed? Then there's no reelection. Simple.
