No time for blogging with the last minute vacation to San Diego, the last minute shoe shopping for one brave kindergartener, and the angel birthday party preparations. Those parents who have kids with sensory integration issues will understand. For us, it is only a mild issue with 'tactile defensiveness'. Whatever that is, it means going anywhere, especially to the mall, is a form of exquisite torture for both mom and child. And the most difficult task is up ahead: the first day of school. All my friends tell me that this mom is going to have a harder time than the child. I'm hoping with all my heart that this will be true.
