NCSL: NCLB is unconstitutional

NCSL's taskforce has put out their new report on NCLB. And it's pretty harsh on NCLB, which says a lot from this bipartisan group of legislators. Here's NYT and the AP.

Still, NCSL doesn't go far enough. Even though they say NCLB is unconstitutional, they have no plans to go to court.

And, despite all, NCSL still wants to fully fund this bill.

And they naively think that a new Secretary of Education will be different. Hello, NCSL: she was the puppeteer during the first term.

"This is a new report, there is a new secretary, and we think this is a real opportunity," said NCSL President John Hurson, a Democratic lawmaker from Maryland.

Nope, nope, nope.

Time to wake up, NCSL.
