Happy 100th, Dr. Seuss!

For progressive Seussians, Cyndy at mousemusings has found the perfect poem to commemorate Dr. Seuss' 100th birthday on March 2nd. Loved the last stanza.

We have a special place in our hearts for Dr. Seuss because his work has played such an important role in literacy in our family. Today, the book of the day is Marvin K. Mooney, Will You Please Go Now!. But the irreverent and saucy Cat in the Hat was an early favorite. Wouldn't it be nice to blame the housemess on the Cat in the Hat?

Many birthday festivities are planned for March 2nd around the US.
