An antidote to the RNC

A bit of palliative care, courtesy of Lakoff, for those who need it. I'm glad genf at DailyKos put it up in the Diaries although I wish I had known about this during the RNC.

I also see he's got a new book coming out called Don't Think of An Elephant: Know your values and frame the debate. I'm praying it'll be more of a practical manual or at least an easier read than the very academic Moral Politics. Mind you, I enjoyed Moral Politics. It reminded me of graduate school but I worried it would turn off a lot of people because it was more theoretical than practical.
In the last couple of months he has written a short book, "Don't Think of an Elephant: Know Your Values and Frame the Debate," which will be marketed at first over the Internet with the help of a host of advocacy groups. Billed as the "essential guide for progressives," the book is praised by such members of the liberal pantheon as Dean, the founders of, the Sierra Club's Carl Pope, and billionaire political activist George Soros. The $10 paperback can be ordered from the publisher, Chelsea Green, and from; it will be published around September 8.
My longish review of Moral Politics very early in my blogging career.

Update: fixed Day 4 link.
