Shawl, poncho or cape?

I never know what brings on my obsessive knitting fits but I'm certainly in the midsts of one now. Up all night trying to figure out what to knit next: a shawl, poncho, or cape?

Looking at the free knitting patterns online, I'm leaning towards a poncho, something easy, made of two rectangles and something airy made with soft fuzzy yarn. I'm ornery; I usually end up riffing off patterns to create my own thing.

However, I simply don't have enough time to do everything. I will still stagger around the next morning, sleep-deprived, trying to get the kid up for summer school because I was up all night either knitting or online. If anyone needs a jolt of caffeine from an IV in the morning, that would be me.
