LA Metrolink train accident

jonah who runs LABlogs, a really cool and laidback site listing many southern california blogs, has set up a donation page and a link to Councilman Garcetti's site, which has more photos and a personal reaction to the accident. By the way, jonah's blog was the go-to site when we had the Farmer's Market tragedy in Santa Monica.

I think Metrolink has been one of the nicest developments here in LA. Imagine that: an actual public rail system in LA. But not today. While driving on a overpass in Burbank today, I saw a few trains sitting idle on the tracks below.

What a way to highlight how fragile and easily broken the links are that define a city. A prayer for all affected.
