Redefining gender

After hiring the well-connected Christian fundamentalist lawyer Mark Bucher, the latest wrinkle in the Westminster school board saga is a brand new definition of gender:

The district's new policy says that the "perception of the alleged victim is not relevant to the determination of 'gender.' ... It is the perception of the alleged discriminator which is relevant."

This only delays the inevitable battle since now the state lawyers need to address this redefinition. By the way, the state definition was written into law by Sheila Kuehl (State senator, D) to align with our state's hate crime laws.
