Festival of Merchandising

We have next weekend the LA Times Festival of Books, presented by Target, with stage appearances by the trademarked Barney and Angeline Ballerina. I hope I don't get in trouble for mentioning the names without paying royalties. We just don't go; these are the books we try to avoid otherwise we'd end up spending a fortune on accessories accompanying the books. We're talking about clothes, dolls, toys, movies, and endless assortment of glittery flashy stuff. Oh, ho: I do see a book I've never seen before: Walter the Farting Dog: Trouble at the Yard Sale. I'm sure the kindergartener would want that book and the dog doll that undoubtedly comes with it.
