Regarding the FCC Vote on June 2nd: Write Letters To Your Senators!

US Senator John McCain (R-Arizona) is the chair of the Senate committee overseeing TV and radio. He would be another Senator to contact about the FCC vote on June 2nd. This site has set up an email action alert to make it easy for you. If the AFL-CIO is not your style, you can use the links on the right side of this page to contact Senator McCain as well as your state senators.

I'm heartened to see more articles about this important vote, both on the web and in newspapers. Tom Paine.com posts several articles on the FCC vote. They have put together a special section containing articles about the FCC and the consequences of relaxing media ownership rules. Rosenfeld interviews Commissioner Copps of the FCChere. Nichols and McChesney, co-founders of Free Press, writes an editorial about the significance of the upcoming FCC vote.

The Center for Public Integrity, a watchdog organization, reports on the "cozy" connection between FCC and its regulatees. Also on this site is a database which identifies the owners of the local media in your area.
